Kee Chan emerged from the complex social landscape of Singapore, where he was born. His family's relocation to Australia opened new doors for Kee, igniting his long-held ambition of becoming a professional actor. Initially, he navigated the industry through small roles on Australian television, gradually making a name for himself.

A pivotal moment in Kee's career came when he was cast as Fedallah, the prominent supporting character to Patrick Stewart's Captain Ahab in the adaptation of "Moby Dick" in 1998. This significant role laid the groundwork for subsequent opportunities, including a part in the blockbuster "Mission: Impossible II" released in 2000.
